The Oregon Watershed Enhancement Board (OWEB) awarded 66 restoration, technical assistance,
engagement, water acquisition, and drinking water source protection grants to local organizations
totaling $18,585,210 at their April 22-23, 2025, board meeting.
“These investments support watersheds, fish and wildlife habitats, alongside rural and urban
communities,” says Sara O’Brien Executive Director. “They protect important sources of clean drinking
water and enhance Oregon land to be more resilient during hotter, drier summers and spring flooding.
Funding for these grants comes from the Oregon Lottery and other state sources, along with federal
Pacific Coastal Salmon Recovery Fund provided by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric
Administration.
Since 1999, the Oregon Lottery dollars have provided over $590 million to OWEB for grants to help
restore, protect, and enhance Oregon’s watersheds. For more information about the Oregon Lottery
